What a UAE Corporate Tax registration changes

General information, not advice on your case. Published 21 October 2026.

Registration with the Federal Tax Authority is the small step. The larger change is that your records must now support a tax return every year, for financial years starting on or after 1 June 2023.

The rate is 0% on taxable income up to AED 375,000 and 9% above it. Registration is required even when you expect to owe nothing, and late registration carries a fixed penalty. The return itself is due nine months after your financial year ends.

Keep invoices, contracts and board decisions in one place. Write down why each deduction is business spending. Match your accounts to your return before you file, not after. A tax position that is documented in advance rarely turns into a dispute.

Our Corporate Tax services cover registration, filing and the files behind every figure, and our bookkeeping team keeps the records in the right shape all year.
